Just last week, we found that Nike was once again turning to their own personal archives from 1982, more specifically the “Label Maker” initiative that started with the AF1 High, to craft something for the present day consumer. Initially, the Swoosh revealed that a modernized Air Force 1 Low colorway with similar label-printed heel tabs, but it appears that two more options will be thrusted into the collective by way of the classic Nike Challenger OG.
Right away, you’ll notice that each take carries matching dark blue label/white lettering that spell out the shoe’s moniker on the heels, but their palettes fall on different regions of the color wheel. The first pair arrives dominated by blue uppers which split between baby blue mid-foots and darker shaded overlays, and come packaged with striking red Swooshes/heels. Its release sibling sports a brighter motif that involves orange nylon base layers which are coupled with that of light grey overlays and “Green Nebula” Swooshes. Looking at both pairs together somewhat evokes memories of the sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Varsity Blue” and “Green/Multi” colorways that launched back in 2019. Peep an in-depth look below, and expect a Nike.com release to happen sometime in the coming weeks.
For other news, a Nike SB Dunk Low Vietnam anniversary colorway has surfaced.
