Elliot Santiago With the second season of The Mandalorian hitting the Disney+ streaming service in just three days time, timing couldn’t be better for Star Wars and adidas to release another collaborative footwear collection to the public. Just yesterday, the two parties revealed a slew of forthcoming makeups, some of which were dedicated to the Mandalorian himself, arguably everyone’s favorite furry character in Baby Yoda, and the Darksaber. However, the collection isn’t stopping there as another adidas NMD R1 colorway that’s emblematic of the bounty hunter has been uncovered.
Perhaps its most attractive element its PrimeKnit upper as plastered across its entire solid background comes all-over armor-inspired patterns presented in silver. Other direct nods to Mando arrive across the heel tabs which have been decorated with helmet-like graphics, as well as on the tongues that print out his signature mammoth insignia. Towards the bottom, the Boost midsoles and forefoot block match up with “Simple Brown” exteriors, while the backside block deviates with a black background/white speckles that one can interpret as the galaxy far, far, away often referred to in the iconic film franchise. Like the other pairs in the upcoming pack, these are launching on adidas.com come November 4th for $140 USD.
