Yeezy Foam Runner
The Yeezy Foam Runner is a footwear model designed by musical artist and creative Kanye West. First debuted on the soles of his daughter North West in 2019, the clog-like silhouette immediately sent the sneaker world into a frenzy for its strong similarities to the Croc.
In terms of its design, the Yeezy Foam Runner is without any laces or moving parts, and sports an alien-esque/porous construction whose chunky rear evokes memories of the adidas Yeezy 700. Material-wise, they are partly consisted of algae — a decision stemmed from Kanye West’s commitment to producing more sustainable product — as well as EVA Foam.
With the tumult surrounding the Yeezy x adidas relationship in 2024, the future of the Yeezy Foam Runner remains unclear. However, as one of the most popular silhouettes the partnership ever birthed, it’s certainly in either party’s best interests to chart some sort of path forward that allows the sneakers to remain on the market.
