SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST - Full Time (NYC in office)
Sneaker News is seeking a Social Media Community Specialist to help bring a vocal presence across our various platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with the Sneaker News community across several social channels. The goal: create a fun and active place for our followers. This includes creating compelling headlines, curating content for the mainstream, responding to our followers, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

JUNIOR EDITOR - Full Time (NYC in office)
The next Sneaker News editor is the crazy shoe-obsessed one in the friend group. They are always browsing social media to be ahead of what's happening in sneakers. They are a beacon of info to those around you. Is that you?
As an Editor, you will play a role in shaping and growing the Sneaker News media platform by contributing to daily news posts, social media copy, and other projects. A passion for sneakers, streetwear, art, and sports is highly valued. Bonus points if you maintain your own blog or active social media page. We are looking for individuals who live and breathe sneakers and creative expression, because there are only a handful of sneaker writer positions in the world. You MUST live and breathe sneakers. No casuals.

ADMIN (Junior/Associate) - Full Time
[This position is New York City based, candidate must be available to work in our lower Manhattan office.]
Sneaker News is looking for an entry level admin to join our team. This position is a little bit of everything related to sneakers and will play a role in shaping and growing the Sneaker News audience. The position will also be responsible for highly detailed data-entry into our internal database. A passion for sneakers, streetwear, art, and sports is highly valued.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist in database entry. SKUs, Colors, Photos, etc.
- Keep an eye on releases minute by minute, hour by hour
- Help draft old, new, and unannounced sneaker release tweets
- Assist with project managing editorial projects
- Assist with our social media accounts across all our verticals
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of the current sneaker scene

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (Kicksfinder)
Kicksfinder, a Sneaker News operated database and Twitter account is seeking a Social Media Specialist to manage our social media presence. This position will be responsible for creating Twitter based content for the @kicksfinder account and create strategies for growth and reach.
You will be working with our Kicksfinder team to create Twitter commerce based content for our large following of sneaker shoppers. In addition to defining best practices & maintaining a weekly calendar, this person should also be looking at growth and engagement strategies to create more value for our following.
Roles
- Plan and maintain social publishing calendar
- Drive growth against weekly and monthly targets to keep building our audience
- Express the Kicksfinder/Sneaker News brand without compromising our voice
- Generate real conversation

FULL TIME COMMUNICATION/MEDIA DESIGNER
Sneaker News is seeking a well rounded creative with an expert handle of typography usage and knowledge. The Designer’s primary role will be in the day-to-day handling of design projects varying from designing for sneakernews.com, to pitches and marketing plans, and designing for our network of media properties.
This is a downtown Manhattan based position.
Roles
- Organizing daily requests and projects
- Problem solving and taking design feedback from clients and coworkers
- Support branded content programs with design treatments for editorial and social
- Extensive work for mockups and pitches—from web to products and experiences
- Presentation layout and production (Indesign, PPT and Keynote)
- Editorial design and layout
- Web, mobile and digital media design and layout
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience
- Resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail, and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- Expert level typography knowledge and usage
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Account Director (Digital Ad Sales)
Sneaker News and it’s in-house sales agency, Post, is seeking an Account Director to acquire and develop new accounts for our digital and social properties with a reach of 20M + million young people in the digital and social space. Sales duties are focused on premium digital ad sales but can also include sponsorships, custom content, branded content and 360 integration across display, editorial and social.
As an Account Director you will be expected to understand the media landscape in the teen and young adult market. The ideal candidate is creative, ambitious, organized and is great at identifying and closing business across specific categories – MUST HAVE experience with digital selling.
Roles
- Effectively obtain new business and maintain existing lines of business
- Cultivate and manage new and existing client relationships
- Work with editorial team to create original programs
- Act as liaison between Sneaker News and advertiser on all programs, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, branded content, social and mobile promotions.
- Meet monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals.
- Prepare weekly sales reports
Qualifications
- 4+ years of media sales experience including mobile, digital video, social, programmatic, and data
- Strong rolodex of agencies, brands and clients.

- Knowledgeable about the downtown youth markets and industry
