`Air Jordan 8
The Air Jordan 8 is Michael Jordan’s eighth signature basketball shoe. It released in 1993 during MJ’s “Three-Peat” Championship season. Created by Tinker Hatfield, this is the last shoe that Jordan wore before his first retirement. The sneakers feature a mix of leather, cross straps, Zoom Air, and more. More colorways are slated to arrive in 2020, so check out the articles below for further release details and price information.
The Air Jordan 8 first debuted in February 1993 during that season’s All-Star Game. First revealed in the “Aqua” colorway, the shoe would eventually release in a total of three original colorways – “Aqua”, White/True Red aka “Bugs Bunny”, and Black/True Red aka “Playoffs”.
Though the silhouette cooled down in 2024, 2025 marked a bounceback for the silhouette. The return of the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” and Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” made for a high-profile one-two punch, capping off a three-year period in which all of the original colorways for the model returned to shelves.
Capitalizing on that moment, it seems that the Air Jordan 8 will continue to be heard from in 2026. Though not an OG colorway, the Jordan 8 “Chrome,” among its most beloved Retro colorways, is on the way back for Fall 2026. Joining it is a new “Cavs” colorway, also slotted into that Q3 stretch. Finally, though information is scarce early in ’26, the model will play a part in the rejuvenated “Bin23” series, a run of ultra-premium colorways that come with elevated sticker prices to match.
