Sneaker News Jordan Brand continues to run through its 2000s-era Retro footwear, and it’s definitely not missing one of the best Air Jordan 8 colorways ever made. The Air Jordan 8 “Black Chrome” (also called the Air Jordan 8 “Chrome”) is set to return Fall 2026; read on learn more about this popular Retro release.
The Air Jordan 8 “Black Chrome” is one of many new colorways that surfaced in the earlier part of the 2000s. While not quite “OG” versions, these often hold similar levels of esteem as the original pairs. This Black/Chrome edition was essentially a grey-scaled version of the original “True Red”, ridding the silhouette of any color hits, swapping for grey, and adding Chrome hardware on the strap buckles.
The Chrome Jordan 8s first released in 2003; it didn’t return to stores until late 2015. There was far more fanfare for the model the second time around as all-black Jordans gained popularity over the years.
