ANTA KAI 1
The ANTA KAI 1 is Kyrie Irving’s first basketball signature shoe with Chinese basketball brand ANTA. Its debut release came in March 2024 with the “Artist On Court” colorway. Following the severance of the relationship between Mavericks star Kyrie Irving and Nike, the future of the immensely popular line of Kyrie Irving shoes was entirely in doubt. Enter Chinese sneaker brand ANTA, who signed the Dallas guard to a long-term deal towards the middle of the following year.
2024 at long last brought the fruits of their relationship to the public. That initial “Artist On Court” was an instant sell-out, a feat matched by every follow-up edition since. The current list of colorways is as follows:
March 23rd – “KAIVERSE” (China-exclusive, limited to 323 pairs)
April 12th – “Enlightened Warrior”
April 19th – “Playoffs White” & “Playoffs Navy”
May 11th – “Mother’s Day”
June 5th – “Playoffs Energy”
June 22nd – “Green Grails”
July 20th – “Garden State”
Additional colorways include the ANTA KAI 1 “Triple Black,” and “Triple White,” already released in China while a stateside drop remains unconfirmed. However, the moccasin-like “Chief Hela” outfit has been confirmed by ANTA for a late Summer/early Fall launch in the US.
Game 1 of the Finals brought first images of an offshoot model to the public when Kyrie sported the ANTA KAI 1 Speed, expected to hit shelves this Summer/Fall.
