New Balance 650
The New Balance 1980s is a basketball/lifestyle model first rolled out by New Balance in the 1980s.
Once lost to time, the New Balance 650 received additional life through the hands of none other than Aime Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis. After reviving the New Balance 550 from the brand’s archives, he turned his attention in 2022 to the high-cut basketball shoe, reviving the line with some remastered details for a collection of collaborative drops that same year.
Since that ALD x NB link up, the 650 has slid seamlessly back into the mix as a mainline New Balance offering, now offered in plenty of general release colorways that still manage to draw attention all the same. 2024 hasn’t bucked that trend any, and new editions seemingly drop every week.
