Victor Wembanyama is a 7’4″ center for the San Antonio Spurs, widely touted out as a generational talent before even entering the league. Shortly before the draft, Wemby signed an endorsement deal with Nike, locking down the who many projected as the next face of the league. As he put together a legendary rookie season, Wemby donned a range of Nike Basketball performance gear, the Nike G.T. Hustle 2 one of his most frequent footwear choices. As a result, the Victor Wembanyama GT Hustle 2 “Alien” PE he wore during All-Star weekend was announced for a public launch, surely just one of many Wemby Nike shoe releases we’ll see in the coming years. Though the Spurs would fail to reach the playoffs, the rookie Frenchman capped off his season in brilliant fashion off the court: Nike minted a prototype/concept Wemby shoe for their A.I.R. showcase in Paris.
