Air Jordan XIV (14) – Jordan Motorsports – Unreleased Sample

While racing isn’t synonymous with Michael Jordan per se, the super-bike racing crew has made quite a name for themselves.  In case you didn’t know, His Airness and Jordan Brand have released the 6-Rings and AJ6 to celebrate the Jordan Motorsports Race Team going 6 years strong.

Here’s a look at a pair of AJ 14’s that were created as one of JB’s annual celebratory MJ Motorsport sneakers, but unfortunately never saw the light of retail.  There have been quite a number of colorways to be released for the 14’s, but it seems that dominantly black pairs are the crowd favorites.  This sample follows suit with an almost all black look with silver accents, and like all the suede pairs- a barren upper lacking the piped look that all the leather 14’s have.  In fact, this is VERY similar to the black/lt graphite/metallic silver pair that dropped back in 2005.  The only difference is the silver treatment to the branding on the heel, as well as the addition of gold Jumpman and 23 branding to the instep of the shoes.  These could have continued to be hidden from the masses, but with a bit of luck, a camera-phone and the owners’ willingness to answer to some curiosity, we can give you a quick look-see.  Don’t you just love being at the right place at the right time?
