February signifies Black History Month, and every year Nike celebrates the month-long salute by releasing a pair of Black History Month Nike Air Force 1. Given to special individuals hand-selected by Nike, the Black History Month Nike Air Force 1 was never released for public purchase and remains a hot AF1 collector’s item. However, Nike is taking it a different direction in 2010 by releasing the Black History Forces for retail, which is a big thumbs-up from collectors everywhere. Check out the video of the NBA on TNT crew checking out the kicks and a sick Black History Month letterman jacket – and enjoy Charles Barkley going on with his usual “turrible” babble.

i think its racist making the jacket in such “afro-centric” colors, im all about black history month being black myself but how come we need to see all blacks as african americans and not just americans?? we all are created equal, so why cant every month incorporate blacks just as much as it does whites? so glad we have come so far since the 50s

I dont know what you’re talkin’ about but this jacket’s fire, they come with it every year for BHM, ain’t nothing wrong with the jacket nor is there anything racist about the jacket having them “Afro-Centric” colors or with celebrating Black History Month. I ain’t knockin’ you but learn the history behind the colors and the history behind Black History Month (Carter G. Woodson, Marcus Garvey, etc.)… THere’s historic signifigance embedded in the design of both the jacket and shoes also, plus proceeds from the shoes sale goes towards a HBCU, as much as Blacks spend on kicks, a “Afro-Centric” jacket & shoe here & there ain’t hurtin’ us, TRUST ME…. You as Equal as you feel man, your hard work determines your status, not the fact that you’re a so called American, you still gotta work for your so called equality, thats real talk. Just play your part for real real. With that being said, I LOVE the BHM pack, I hope to get 2 pairs
