The skateboarding team over in Beaverton has put the Nike Dunk through some interesting and questionable changes; while the alterations may better fit needs of skaters, to general wearing public lamented the decision to remove the fat tongue from the Nike Dunk. Another change that might ruffle a few feathers is the removal of the ankle strap of the Nike SB Dunk Mid. This upcoming colorway in a unmistakable black-white-gum is one of the first un-strapped Mids that are set to drop as part of the Nike SB Holiday 2010 Collection. Ya these wud be better with the straps. I mean it IS what seperates them from the lows and highs. Or they cud keep the strap off and make it high.

people need to stop bitching and start looking at the shoe. forget that this model used to have a strap. look only at this shoe. do you like how it looks? that should be the basis on which you judge kicks. i bet some of these hypebeasts bitching on here all the time about straps and fat tongues will be on this shit when they give it a stupid name…
i think that these shoes are kinda interesting when you judge then independently of other shoes. the swoosh does look bigger than usual and the gum soles look dope to me. the only thing i’m not feeling is the mid sole. i think it has too much white. it could have used some black contrast stitching or the upper part of the midsole could have been black or something.

i also thought these were supposed to be the dunk hi eric koston’s. they are basically the same thing just shorter. but i do love the gum sole, and the whole strap didnt matter to me anyways so ill probably get them.

i dont skate but am a nike sb collector.
without the strap the mids arent mids it
makes them different. but who knows
release a new colorway of mids one
strapped one unstrapped and let the public
decide. but if not, keep the strap nike. it
makes the mids unique from the highs and lows.

all of you guys bitching about no strap are faggots. nike is actually making shoes for skating now instead of style. these are simple, clean, have some ankle support and no annoying strap to get in the way. they look great to skate in
