Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Leather Backs

There was talk in early June of Ronnie Fieg’s latest Asics Gel Lyte III collaboration being his last, though the reception for this past Saturday’s ‘Mint Leaf’ release suggests this is one of those Jay-Z situations where the market demand simply won’t allow this man to retire.  The latest GLIII teased on Fieg’s Twitter stream is a mix of black leather, charcoal grey suede and bright blue accents that calls to mind the earliest David Z x Asics collaborations to which he contributed as a ghostwriter.  You can count on a cycle of images of these kicks in beautiful locales, possibly on a beautiful female body, but for now, click through to see more and let us know what you think, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for more on the upcoming Asics Gel Lyte III by Ronnie Fieg.

  2. Dylan Says:

There was never talk of Ronnie not making any more Asics. The "Mint Leaf" Gel Lyte III's were just his last release at David Z. Get your facts straight.

  3. Need1pairRonnie Fieg Says:

What's the use of showing us these shoes, when the website David z .com crashes every time. If you don't live in NY , then forget about it. Tired of the bs you got to go thru to not even come close to buying these shoes. By the time they hit Ebay they already $300 to $400 over the original cost of $120.

  4. C.P Says:

I need these in my life

  5. sneaks.L.8.P.H Says:

  8. Curly Says:

You gotta have patience. I scored the Ultra Marines and the Mint Leafs(2 pair) off the David Z website. Fuck resellers!

  9. Phil Says:

    Ahhhhhhhhhh need those….

  10. ROLL UP Says:

I tried from 9am-12pm to try and grab the "mint Leaf" joints but the website wasnt even working. I checked back later and it was only a size 5.5 and 6 available. Talk about being pissed. I lost sleep and still didnt get the kicks.

nothing special just like everything this cat does!

  15. chubby Says:

idk what the big deal is with this guy. RF = Real Fraud.

hes nothin but a glorified shop clerk.

any one of us can pick colors off a color wheel. i mean damn, like its so hard to pick mint green, blue, or red.

i'll give Real Fraud some credit when he actually designs a NEW, kickass shoe.

If asics had an "id" program on its site like Nike, we could all be like RF. What a poser.

  16. !!!!!!!! Says:

thank you exactly what i been saying

  17. bruceleeshomeboy Says:

I’m not much for Asics, and I have no clue who Ronnie Fieg is, nor do I care. But these shoes look pretty good, so I’ll give it an E for effort.
