Classic Nike Basketball “Elite” Renderings by Brett Golliff
Nike Basketball’s “Elite” concept was thoroughly detailed by Nike designer Leo Chang during our interview two weeks ago. It truly must be a designer’s dream to go all out on a sneaker, so designer Brett Golliff created some “Elite”-style renderings of some of the most memorable Nike Basketball silhouettes in history that have had their share of Playoff battles. If you ever wondered what the Air Jordan XI, Nike Shox Stunner, or Nike Air Max Penny 1 looked like with a completely beefed up “Elite” exterior, Brett’s got ten models for you to ponder at below. Do you think Nike will ever go “Elite” with their Retro models? Point out your favorite and let us know your thoughts on this concept below.
Air Jordan XI Elite
Nike Air Pippen II Elite
These are some great renderings. I'm particularly impressed by the Hyperflight-- a shoe that I've hated since its birth. This design is so much better than the original.
And I've gotta agree with caseyflinders re the Air More Uptempos-- another shoe I never really warmed to. It looks incredible in this Elite model.
Keep in mind...Some people actually buy basketball shoes to play basketball in...Those Pippens would be dope!
These pics are amazing. Whoever did these pics is super talented. those Air More Uptempos are the best looking sneaker i've ever seen.
Some of these look really nice and some of these look awful. Wonder what a Foamposite Elite of Flightposite Elite would look like
Those pippen up tempos, penny 1s, Barkley's & jordan 11s look dope as sum elites... But da prices are gonna b sumthin fierce
Brett is a fucking spectacular designer. Check out his website and coroflot. He has some awesome concepts (my favorite is his Kobe IX Elite concept).
