Nikestore Restock of Jordans Postponed

Nikestore Restock Jordans Postponed

Last night, the official Nikestore Twitter account laid out a rather obvious hint regarding a restock of Jordan products. Among these coveted styles were the Air Jordan 1 “Bred”, Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue”, Air Jordan 3 ’88, and much more. The restock would go down this morning at 10 AM, and although what products would be available was never revealed, a horde of eager buyers lined up on online to capture what goodies would be in store. However, prior to the 10 AM restock, Nikestore released two big items – the Yeezy Foams and the low-top Air Jordan 11s; those two releases proved to be too much for Nike to handle, and thus the online release of the launch products were postponed.

In addition to the postponed release of the Foams and AJ11s, Nike chose to postpone the announced 10AM restock of Air Jordans. What’s interesting is that at the scheduled 10 AM time, all of the restocked Jordans were up on Nikestore, although no product was available to be added to the shopping cart. Apparently, twenty-three different Air Jordans were intended to be up for sale, but as of now, the restock, as well as the release of the Yeezy Foams and Air Jordan 11 Low, has been postponed indefinitely (Although it appears a small minority were able to get through – and those orders will be honored.

This brings up a new topic of discussion: Are announced restocks of any benefit? If the masses can anticipate such a pivotal event, it is likely that a larger number of hopeful buyers would show up and eventually clog up the shopping channel and force Nike to close up shop. Would you rather Nike drop these random releases unannounced, like last year’s big restock or the release of the Red Yeezy 2s? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on the pending release of today’s launch products and the restock.
