Nikestore Restock of Jordans Postponed
Last night, the official Nikestore Twitter account laid out a rather obvious hint regarding a restock of Jordan products. Among these coveted styles were the Air Jordan 1 “Bred”, Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue”, Air Jordan 3 ’88, and much more. The restock would go down this morning at 10 AM, and although what products would be available was never revealed, a horde of eager buyers lined up on online to capture what goodies would be in store. However, prior to the 10 AM restock, Nikestore released two big items – the Yeezy Foams and the low-top Air Jordan 11s; those two releases proved to be too much for Nike to handle, and thus the online release of the launch products were postponed.
In addition to the postponed release of the Foams and AJ11s, Nike chose to postpone the announced 10AM restock of Air Jordans. What’s interesting is that at the scheduled 10 AM time, all of the restocked Jordans were up on Nikestore, although no product was available to be added to the shopping cart. Apparently, twenty-three different Air Jordans were intended to be up for sale, but as of now, the restock, as well as the release of the Yeezy Foams and Air Jordan 11 Low, has been postponed indefinitely (Although it appears a small minority were able to get through – and those orders will be honored.
This brings up a new topic of discussion: Are announced restocks of any benefit? If the masses can anticipate such a pivotal event, it is likely that a larger number of hopeful buyers would show up and eventually clog up the shopping channel and force Nike to close up shop. Would you rather Nike drop these random releases unannounced, like last year’s big restock or the release of the Red Yeezy 2s? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on the pending release of today’s launch products and the restock.

anyone looking for a SIZE 12 in the "YEEZY" foams that just released, get at me? I have a pair im trying to let go, NO FAKES! email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, ill send pics with REAL footlocker receipt
What I dont understand is that you have to get tickets now for any Jordans that come out..... I don't like that and only send one or two pair of size 13 to each store
Nike is a Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation. I'm 1000 percent positive they CAN afford to have a system so their site wont Crash on Release Days. But as I mentioned earlier they don't and Won't cus that's part of their Sales Strategy and I can Respect that. But at the same time Maybe you shouldn't Bite the Hand that feeds you, at least not Often.
I'm not mad at Nike....They do a secret release, people get salty. They let EVERYONE know and it sells out or the site crashes, people get salty. People get salty no matter what...They tried, shit happens. The restock will happen at some point. Hell, it could be Sunday, could be Thursday, like the last one, just be patient. That said, I like random restocks. It's SO much easier to cop if you catch one, and when you do, it feels tremendous. Just have a twitter account, a smartphone, and favorite the Nikestore. You'll be fine.
a question: So a few buyers will receive their shoes and still is nike again to restock publish with all the shoes?
Can anyone help shine some light on a quick question? Due to the site crashing early this morning, is Nike going to "re-release" the foams but at a later date?
Nike is starting to think too short term. They are over saturating the market. I have been collecting sneakers since I was in 7th grade and its nowhere near as fun as it used to be. Jordan is releasing shoes every weekend and most new CW's are trash IMO. Nike has tricked people into thinking exclusive means fresh.
I just wanna know who has time to sit and make the BOT!..that reseller SH×t is a joke if u want to sell shoes get a real franchise quit waiting in line to make $30-40 same goes to the footlocker ppl who hold the shoes and sell them for their own profit...fake ticket process so they can exploit the SH×t!!!!!!!
It was poorly mismanaged and marketed by Nike. First way to be the attention whore and decide to do a restock at the last moment. Do you need a massive restock? Stagger that shit! I mean damn they would have crashed the site fast as fuck! Way to back your other releases! "Jordan fans sleep in a bit?" wtf way to market your release of the Jordan 11 lows that release that same day. On a day when the Yeezy Foams & Jordan 11 lows drop should have know that shit would crash the site.
I already knew due to Bots Eastbay was a waste of time but I managed to get Infrareds from Finishine after 30 mins of trying. I did have The Aqua Lows in my cart on Nike but the site crashed as they say. But I was REALLY looking forward to what Nike was gonna have at 10am.
It'd be nice to get a heads up but I just want ONE pair of SOMETHING new 13's or 11's and Im good for the year. I have no interest in helping a reseller Ebay pay his rent on.
Damn people get mad like they are entitled to shoes because they are a " Sneakerhead ". I miss the days of randomly walking in the store and seeing the kicks on the shelf and before TLO releases.
I was wondering why my order would not go through while I was standing in line. Luckily majority of the people in line wanted the XI's and the Foams were a easy cop.
I went on Nike soon after 10 and they had a good amount. There was bred and gamma 11, the whole fear pack, laney bel air, black and white grape 5, and 13 and 10s, the infrared 23 6s( all red) and a lot more
There was a lot of good Js they had restocked. I went on there a couple minutes after 10 and I just thought they had sold out.
Nike/Jordan brand probably gettin' HIGH before 4/20 sending false tweets to the media. Not like they're gonna restock billions of EXCLUSIVE sneakers cuz that's not how they do business.
weird cause i got both foam and jordan this morning on nike store so i think your info is a little wrong they only set another date for the restock
It would be nice to restock without announcing it, but in a different day for each shop. I'm not sure if sales would be the same, but its worth a try
This is nothing but a big Gimmick by NIKE. Every time this happens they get all kinds of Free ink all over the place.(Like they need more) They've figured it's human nature if you can't have it you'll need it More. I for one am DISGUSTED. Fuck NIKE.
Yeah restocks should probably just happen without being announced, just like with any other piece of clothing they sell.
So this is why I couldn't cop the foams this morning (my luck has been pretty good with Nikestore lately). Not even sure why they thought they could pull all of this off on the same day. That Jordan restock is massive.
@E Roony Agreed. I just don't see why dropping 4 shoes at the same time makes sense. They will sell if you spread them out a half hour regardless.
@dracyn i agree, but there's millions of people that have the same idea, and if it doesn't cater to the 13-21 year old croud then it isn't happening. You'll never see an RSVP happen at 1:30pm on Thursday because kids are in school. They always tweet the hashtag after 3pm when kids are outta school, which means that they care more about the ppl in that age bracket than they do about the hard working class of ppl that pay for their own shit!
@dracyn Couldn't have said it better myself.
@Yelloloc Yea and snakeskin11's https://twitter.com/nikestore/status/457891438622420993
@boodle81 i feel that bro! all this announcement stuff is a joke. just stock them in the back, put them on the shelf, and kill the bot/reseller.
@Brads Pitt Same here I was about to check out then the sight crashed so it better be a real release date and not a pop up release like the Red Octobers
@koofbang1 The Sneaker News report is according to what Nikestore is saying on Twitter right now. They're also telling customers who received confirmation emails that their orders will be shipped.
It's either that or they have people working high up in the company who are mentally handcapped. It's pretty stupid to jam two new, pretty anticipated shoes and tons of anticipated restocks into the same morning.
It's *sneakernews* not sneakerhead helper wtf. This is "news" involving shoes so calm yourself and your mom down... smh
@weldonmiguel @dracyn Good point! They seem to alienate the people with the means to purchase their product and cater to the people that have to ask mom and dad for the money to buy their product. Either way since when do shoes release in the store, sell out the same day and never get restocked? There is evidence to show the they could sell so many more pairs of shoes if there were more available. Just look at the bidding wars that take place on ebay post release dates. And these are people willing to pay double and triple the retail price! Perhaps if they offered the shoes for 1 week or even 1 month and take them away, then those of us who buy them to wear them would have a chance against these resellers and we could all be happy.
@BrianGarcia @boodle81 I used to work in a sneaker store back when the first Jordans released. There way crazy hype over the shoes coming out. But when they released, we put them on the shelf the day of release and there was no drama. They did sell out and we got more in and continued selling them until the 2's came out. It went that way year after year without any problems. If the hype machine would just go away maybe we could get back to that and more people could get the shoes.
@realmoneyondeck nope but u sound salty
@realmoneyondeck ok have a good weekend.
Na..... I got want I wanted the foams,11's and the kobes but I know u had a BOT if u got anything from NIKE today
