adidas NMD City Sock Primeknit With MikiType Lettering

adidas Originals continues its renaissance period in 2017 with a number of upcoming offerings that are sure to grab your attention. While the adidas NMD and adidas Ultra Boost continue to battle for your affection, the adidas NMD City Sock provides a lush lifestyle alternative with a woven Primeknit upper for a futuristic slip-on offering perfect for everyday use this coming Spring 2017 season. Today we get the first look at a collaboration with MikiType, a Tokyo-based calligrapher and type designer who already has a portfolio with projects with Vans and Sacai.

The adidas NMD City Sock MikiType features a simple black Primeknit upper with bold accents of Japanese Katakana on the midsole bumpers, medial side, and insole for a unique splash. A simple white Boost midsole allows for the woven construction to stand out for good measure while the insole features stamps of approval from the original trefoil branding in blue on one foot while MikiType’s logo hits the other insole.
