It worked spectacularly well on the three ‘Color Pack’ releases from the first quarter, so New Balance recognized that this year’s most prolific 996 pattern would be just as satisfying in the brand’s traditional colors. The resulting sweetness is this New Balance 996 in navy suede and mesh that adds silvery greys including a textured leather on the rear that serves to underline the reflective side panel ‘N’ branding. These photos feature the old 996 tongue tag, which suggests that might look a little different once these arrive on store shelves in July, so have a closer look below and stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability.

New Balance’s Flimby Factory is known for producing the highest quality running shoes for over three decades. One of the most popular ‘Made in England’ releases, the New Balance 577 is pictured above in one of its low-key classic colorways. This grey and navy mix was last released a little under three years ago, but they weren’t easy to come by here in the US, so stateside sneakerheads should be particularly happy about this release. On the other hand, NB has built significant momentum in the intervening years, so you’ll want to get on these now that they’re available at select retailers like Tres Bien.

The New Balance 999 Elite has more up its sleeve than those nautical, “Kennedy” leaning looks. Shown here is the next pair to come hit retailers, one that first popped up way back in August of 2012 before anyone had any idea about the wider reaching “Elite Edition” releases. The base is a blue suede affair that features hits of grey, black, and orange to diversify things. Continue reading for the shots on this Elite New Balance 999, tell us how you like it in comparison to the other Elite pairs we’ve seen from NB lately, and pick up yours today from Oneness.

Navy New Balances represent the one of the sneaker world’s timeless looks, so it’s particularly interesting to see combined with a signature element from an even older footwear tradition. The INVINCIBLE x New Balance 1400 ‘Brogue’ combines the perforated detailing from long-established hard-bottomed shoes, this particular style itself landing somewhere in the ‘smart casual’ range. These details along with the leather laces and lining convey a premium appeal that looks like it might follow the spring’s similar Beauty & Youth 1700 to US retail. The May 18th debut at INVINCIBLE is set with a wider release to follow in June, so have a closer look below and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

New Balance hadn’t issued a brogue-embellished sneaker in nearly five years, and overnight our expectations double with word of another Far East collaboration. INVINCIBLE and X-Large avoid direct confrontation as the former’s 1400s get to play the male lead opposite a forthcoming X-Girl x New Balance 574. They’re not officially connected, though one can’t help but notice the similarities in these two dark suede styles from Japanese imprints early this week. This X-Girl 574 sets itself apart with star-shaped punches and varsity-block text on the laces, and will arrive in May (further symmetry here with Mother’s Day, while INVINCIBLE’S hits in June for Father’s). Stick with Sneaker News for updates, but X-Girl’s collabs haven’t been easy to get in the States, so you’ll definitely want to see more below.

If you’re not feeling all the REVLite, Elite, and collab stuff going on with New Balance at the moment, there’s always the classically inclined retros that have been spilling out as of late. The New Balance 990 OG was one of the first of that kind to show up upon the arrival of the initial grey and white colorway in 2012. Keeping things moving towards the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of brightness is this new pair, which grabs at a jet black suede for the upper. See a full set of angles for this New Balance 990 OG pair and grab yours now from Feature Sneaker Boutique in Las Vegas.
