Up Close With The New Balance 1000 “Pink/Tan”

New Balance has brought back more than a few Y2K-era silhouettes in recent years, spearheaded by the re-introduction of the 2002R, 1906R, and 860v2. While those models first came to light at the tail end of the 2000s, the Boston brand now appears set to go back even further, all the way to 1999. Enter the New Balance 1000.

We covered news regarding the upcoming Joe Freshgoods New Balance 1000 earlier this month, and now images of new general release colorways are starting to surface with more frequency. Initial reports called the “Pink/Tan” colorway referenced here an Aimé Leon Dore collaboration, but new information reveals their inline status.

Images shared by @newbalancesociety offer the best look at the shoe to date. Tan leather, green ripstop, and various pink materials produce an imposing upper, with pink extending down into the midsole to flood the overall design. A TPU New Balance logo lays against all three colors at the quarter, and thick rope laces tie off the delivery up top.

At the time of this writing, all indications point towards a Holiday 2024 release and $150 MSRP for the “Pink/Tan” New Balance 1000. Enjoy a close-up look below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page for a preview of all upcoming New Balance deliveries.

If you’re looking for a more immediately available New Balance pair for your rotation, check out the Arctic Grey 990v4 dropping on March 28th.
