If you are a fan of black and Air Force 1’s then you won’t want to miss this pack. These dropped out of nowhere last week at the House of Hoops in Harlem, NYC. The focus once again for Nike this year seems to be a concentration on simple colorways with an emphasis on contrast and premium materials. Upon first glance these sneakers look like nothing too special, however upon closer inspection one becomes more enticed by the quality and smart use of color. First of all the leather is not the typical unremarkable stuff Nike has used on all too many premiums past, it is in fact the same smooth leather found on most of the recent Supreme Max Air AF1’s! The swooshes and heel tab are done in nubuck. The colors are nothing ordinary either: Barn is used for the “reds”, Chutney is used for the “mustards”, Dark Loden is used for the “armys”, and well Medium-Grey is what it is. If you hurry down to the House of Hoops you might be able to score a pair of these for the collection. With colored midsoles and a clean overall look, these AF1’s are bound to stand out from the rest of the stash.
