It looks like Chef of GourmetKickz has been busy in the “kitchen” or shall we say at the “bar” mixing up some custom goodies that have loads of “spirit”. This Sunday at the H-Town Sneaker Summit Chef will be unveiling these first 9 in a series of over 36 different pair in the 1800® Tequila VIP Lounge. 1800® Tequila is a proud sponsor of Chef’s latest endeavor, The GourmetKickz Creator, a flash based application that will allow people to customize their own GourmetKickz in 3D! The lounge will also feature artwork from 1800® Tequila’s Essential Artists campaign. The premium Tequila brand has commissioned pieces from 9 artsists in the U.S.A. and Mexico to then use in ad campaigns and on designer bottles. The most interesting part of the campaign is how they have now involved none other than Chef of GourmetKickz to incorporate the very same artwork on sneakers. And since we are talking about Chef, should we be surprised that he decided to use the Nike AF1 for his canvas?
A reliable source informs us that Chef is packaging each pair of 1800 Essential GourmetKickz in a chest-like wooden box that holds the sneakers snugly in foam-padded velvet while suspending the matching designer bottle in laser-etched plexi-glass! No wonder we haven’t seen much from this culinary sneaker fiend as of late, he has been mixing it up in the kitchen and no doubt getting some inspiration from the smooth silky taste of agave. For those who are lucky enough to make it to the H-Town Sneaker Summit on Sunday, be sure to purchase a ticket for access to the 1800® Tequila VIP Lounge where agave will flow like water, ice sculpting will dazzle the eye, and intoxicating GourmetKickz will touch your sole! There will be free limited edition t-shirts featuring some of the Essential Artwork cleverly co-branded with the new GourmetKickz logo in the swanky lounge and some hot promo girls keeping the shot glasses, goblets, and Holy Grails full!
Be on the the lookout for the rest of the series from GourmetKickz set to release this fall. No solid word yet on numbers or where exactly they will be available, though according to 1800® Tequila’s website users will soon be able to customize their own bottle and their own kickz!
