Nike Sportswear – 21 Mercer Street – Air Max 90 Current Flywire

Nike Sportswear - 21 Mercer Street - Footwear

Instead of “out with the old, in with the new”, the designers at Nike Sportswear have re-designed the Air Max 90, improving a 20-year-old running classic. The uppers were designed with popular Flywire technology, a high tensile strength Vectran fiber as seen on the Hyperdunk for lightweight stability, to make the sneaker one of the lightest ever produced by Nike. A Nike Free outsole is also included, adding optimized flexibility and traction, while closely simulating the weight as if you were to run barefoot.

Nike Sportswear – 21 Mercer Street – LunaRacer

Making its debut at the Nike Sportswear store, will be the newly designed LunaRacer, which will release in five different colors. The sneaker includes the super-lightweight Flywire technology and features the technologically advanced Lunarlite foam midsole. This midsole spreads pressure patterns evenly, potentially protecting the foot from injury. Also, the midsole’s soft design enables it to retain energy while running, resulting in an improvment in a runner’s speed.

Nike Sportswear – 21 Mercer Street – Air Rejuven8

Nike Sportswear - 21 Mercer Street - Footwear

The design of the Air Rejuven8 was originally inspired by a protective fruit net, although the sneaker was later refined. By the end of this re-design process, a number of additional design ideas were introduced such as the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing, as well as other sneaker models including the Air Presto, Zvezdockha, Air Kukini, Sock Racer and Air Huarache sneakers. As said by the Air Rejuven8 designer, Pam Greene, “The great thing about innovating at Nike is that we have iconic heritage products to draw from.” The end result of all this hard-work is what you see now, a sneaker with a rubber molded exterior cage, mesh uppers, and interchangeable inner-sock linings which can be seen through the exterior cage. This sneaker will be available at the Nike Sportswear store in five different colors.

Originally produced exclusively for the performers who participated in the “1Night Only” event, these rare Air Force 1s feature a eature a multi-dimensionally designed side panel constructed of premium leather. The sneakers feature injected thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) in the uppers, along with a custom dubrae and a “1Night Only” sockliner and tongue label. These sneakers were so sought after and wanted, that Nike decided to release them to the general public. They will be available in 12 different colorways, exclusively at 21 Mercer. These sneakers will be made-to-order and will take four weeks to deliver.

Nike Sportswear – 21 Mercer Street – Dunk Hi (One-Piece)

As seen earlier this month, these Octodot Dunks were just a few pairs of Nike Dunks made in honor of the Beijing Olympics. The tongue contains octagon shaped Olympic Rings, symbolizing China’s lucky number eight and the Olympic Games. The seamless uppers feature micro-colored octagons, named octodots, digitally printed on. The design gives the sneakers the appearance of being covered in white netting. This sneaker is available in five different two-toned colorways.
