Nike Air Force 1 – Elephant Print Pack + Spring 2009 Preview

Nike Air Force 1 – Elephant Print Pack + Spring 2009 Preview

Nike Air Force 1 - Elephant Print Pack - Spring 2009 Preview
The closer we get to the end of this year, the more (it seems) we get to see of what’s in store for Nike in 2009.  We have gotten to peep a lot of upcoming Dunks, some Nike SBs and even some Jays, so now it is time we see what Nike Sportswear has cooking for the classic Air Force 1.
The Creative Director of Nike Sportswear explains,” For the launch of Nike Sportswear [In 2008] we looked at the Beijing games and derived inspiration from that.  This Season [2009], we took ACG and its 20th anniversary as a driving force for the creative direction,” so we can bet there are a lot of dope ideas swirling around at NSW.

The most dominant impression from this small preview of Air Force 1s it the generous and novel use of elephant print on all of the Spring 2009 AF1s from the Supreme to the Premium as well as the In-Line models.  Keeping it fresh as usual, NSW gives the elephant print a new, laser-etched look  that is concentrated at the top of the upper on some of the models allowing the elephant print to diminish in density closer to the sole.  Other features include classic elephant print around the toe-box, some embossed textures and new, softer leather.

These should definitely get you excited about what’s popping for 2009.  via Freshness
