Airwalk has, until this point, been known as one of the icons of the 90’s skate scene. If not *the* major player, they were sufficiently important during that time that you’d hear the Freudian “Nike Airwalk” around the uninformed. It looks like, alongside all of the other skateboarding shoe companies, Airwalk is taking a step to the left with some more casual looks.
Our friends at Freshness noted that this trend has been ongoing for some time now, and since everyone loves a good chukka, the classic Desert Boot is a good place to start. A brown suede chukka boot with a deeply-ridged sole, the classic Airwalk logo appears on the outside ankel of either shoe. These are releasing this year, and we’ll let you know exactly when.
