No, these aren’t designed to honour Sneaker News, but we’ll forgive you if that’s how you read it.  Swiss artists/designers Grotesk and +41 got up with the NIKEiD Bespoke program and produced these sick Air Force 1s to commemorate the upcoming Sneakerness event in Zurich.  Inspired by the Air Jordan III (3) and the ultra-rare Air Jordan Sky High, this pair features a cement grey elephant print rear quarter/heel alongside an otherwise white leather upper.  The plastic eyelets change from red to grey about halfway up, a feature that helps to incorporate the firey hue also found on the heel tab and midsole stitch.  All of this tops an icey outsole, but this beauty might not top the event.

The May 9th event at Schiffbau will feature sellers and traders, of course, plus exhibitions, art installations, a NIKEiD studio and afterparty with DJ Clark Kent and Cool Bob Love himself, Bobbito Garcia.  Check out the other pics after the jump and if you’re in Western Europe, do yourself a favour and stop by tomorrow.  via HS
