Rick Griffin x Vans Vault – June 2009

Vans footwear has crossed the line from skate/surf wear into the pantheon of All-American staples.  In this latest pack, they’re also coopting the stylings of a legendary American artist.  Late California dreamer Rick Griffin was probably most famous for his work designing trippy album covers for The Grateful Dead.  Vans Vault added his skull-and-roses sensibility to a whole slew of silhouettes, including the Sk8-Hi LX, Mid Skool ’77, Old Skool ’77 and Slip-On.  All of these are set to drop June 1st, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via HS
