About one in two million lobsters is blue due to a genetic defect that results in excessive protein production. Given their rarity and how hard it was to get a pair of Blue Lobsters, the Yellow Lobster might be even rarer. Appearing in nature at odds of 1 to 30 million, the yellow lobster looks to be the inspiration for Concepts’ latest collaboration with Nike SB.
At Saturday’s launch of the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Blue Lobster’, CNCPTS owner Tarik Hassan was spotted rocking a yellow makeup of the Lobster design. Rumour has it that these were limited to 36 pairs, with the tiny lot given to friends, family and some lucky folks in line.
