Before Jordan Brand ballers Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson set up shop at the Phillips Arena, the Atlanta Hawks were in a sad state. It’s possible that they were reeling after about a decade of being whooped in some way or another by Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. An early example of MJ’s Hawk-taming came on April 16, 1987 when he crushed the A for 61 at the end of the regular season.
