Many other footwear brands have been moving forward with styles and looks, hoping to reflect their acknowledgement of ever-changing trends. For Converse, it may be a little more difficult to do so, being limited to the contours of its existing styles. Not to mention even the slightest change to the silhouettes of certain shoes can take away from years of identity and branding that Converse has build for decades.
Along with the Chuck Taylor Strap Hi, the brand is trying to be a little more progressive by adding a padded collar to their popular Chuck Taylor profile. Coming in an array of material combinations, the colors are rightfully set for the winter season. And for those who require something more equipped for the season, there is a winter boot version, which has a more rugged sole and probably more water-resistant leather. As of now, these have already dropped in Europe, but no word as to stateside drops.
