No more than a week ago, the thought of a Tracy McGrady PE was downright laughable. T-Mac will go down as one of the best scorers in this era, but his knees are made of glass and he’s not known to be such a great playoff performer. He made a good showing in Saturday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, dropping 26 in his MSG home debut in the adidas TS Supernatural Creator.
The Knicks blew a late lead (duh) to Kevin Durant and crew, but with McGrady’s debut markedly stronger than Antawn Jamison’s in Cleveland, and McGrady openly saying he’ll take less money next year to stay and play with a guy like LeBron and/or D-Wade, we could have a massive collection of hot PEs from every brand in New York.
