To celebrate the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China, Nike Sportswear created a special Blazer Mid QS inspired by the Chinese National Pavilion. The Chinese National Pavilion is constructed out of various different Red materials which is the main inspiration for the Blazer Mid, which uses Challenge Red on the majority of the upper. To offset the Red upper, a Black ripstop nylon Swoosh as added as well as a White outsole. To make the shoe more suitable for the Summer months, ripstop nylon was also used on the toebox and the lining on the inside of the shoe was lined with a jersey mesh allowing for the shoe to be more breathable. Currently we’re being told that this shoe is a China exclusive, however KIX-FILES has received a limited run of pairs as well.
