Bo Jackson was a multi-sport, universally dominant athlete that perfectly fit the cross-training mold – the perfect face for Nike Training. Vincent Jackson is best recognized by his nickname “Bo”, which was derived from his mother’s pronunciation of “wild boar hog” – which Jackson was described as during his rambunctious days as a child. To Esaie Witherspoon, Product Line Manager of Nike Athletic Training, the story behind the origin of “Bo” could not be overlooked, as ‘Wild Boar’ is the inspiration behind this latest Nike Trainer SC 2010 colorway made just for Friends and Family. A colorway of black, grey, and orange with white Flywire panels symbolizing the powerful tusks of a boar was created to pay homage to the man who was an intergral cog to the training boom of the early late 80’s and early 90’s.
