The Nike Air Pippen II re-released some time ago but a “new” colorway is about to hit us soon. That’s right: Varsity Purple, or better recognized by the Eggplant nickname, has now pervaded Scottie Pippen territory, as a Nike Air Pippen II Eggplant colorway is set to release with a rumored limited release. A Foamposite upper doesn’t seem likely, but instead a synthetic material with a Foamposite feel – much like that of the Eggplant Big Nike High or the Nike Blazer inspired by the Nike Air Foamposite line. The Pippen II was a popular shoe with a simple design and jeweled swoosh, and this new colorway should definitely have retro-basketball heads talking again.
