Dirk Nowitzki was among the first of a wave of European ballers who made it to the NBA in the mid/late ’90s and early ’00s. With an NBA Finals appearance and 2007 MVP award to his credit, Dirk has not only helped turn around the fledgling Dallas Mavericks, but he’s made the German national team back into a world-class contender. Nowitzki has pulled out of the upcoming 2010 FIBA World Championships so he can rest and focus on helping Germany earn a 2012 Olympic berth in next year’s EuroBasket, but if he makes it to the inaugural World Basketball Festival in NYC, we know what he’ll be wearing.
