It’s probably only a matter of time before at least some parts of the steampunk subculture go mainstream, and we’re just a bit ‘closer’ with the issuance of this new pack from Off the Wall. The Vans Vault Sk8-Hi ‘Shaffers’ take their nickname from the Shaffers Crossing railroad junction in Virginia and hearken back to a time when things moved at the speed of burning coal. Both of these Sk8-His feature industrial-grade square perforations on the side panels, but what unites them with the earlier Shaffers Crossing releases is the old school product patch placed on the medial ankle area. An interesting direction given all the subtle stuff to come outta Vans this summer, these joints are available from retailers like B&AB.
