August has arrived, and as we inch closer to a number of important dates – the World Basketball Festival and FIBA, the beginning of the school year, the end of season of summer – Sneaker News would like to bring you the first Weekly Rewind of the month. A lot of news transpired over the last week; first things first, Sneaker News’ in-depth coverage of all the WBF and FIBA Basketball kicks kept you on top of all the PEs that we should except in the coming games, and we also gave you look into the summer basketball camps that featured the NBA’s biggest stars. Also included was an exclusive look at the Air Force 1 Tuff Tech pack as well some additional news regarding the 5 Boroughs Pack and the Bespoke Experience. We still haven’t recovered from the ground-breaking release info that was made public the past few days, which featured the return of the Altitude XIII as well as the release of the Air Jordan II Candy Pack.
If you’re still deciding on what to cop for back-to-school, Sneaker News gave you a heads up on some coming releases that would be perfect for the autumn season. A great colorway of the Air Max 90 made some noise as did the Nike Sportswear Black Perf Pack, but today’s news of the limited Size? x Nike Blazer Mid had some buzz going for the Blazer once more. How about what to buy right now? We can look to celebrities to see what they’ve got on in terms of new releases and old, like Jeezy’s Infrared VI or Wale’s Heineken SB Dunk Low. But the celeb that had us all paying attention was Michael Jordan, when he wore an unreleased and never-before-seen colorway of the new Jordan model.
