The Nike Air Classic BW and Nike Air Max 98 are two classic Air Max models that are often overlooked, but this upcoming hybrid shoe will be hard to ignore. The BW first featured the ‘Big Window’ to Visible Air while the Air Max 98 featured Nike’s new Tuned Air, so this combination is more than just a random mash-up, but a symbol of two of Nike’s notable breakthroughs – much like the BW + 95 in the Air Max Modular 95 SI. Here’s another look at the Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI that Sneaker News first previewed in January; the overall silhouette is captured by the Air Classic BW but with finishing touches placed by the Air Max 98 (also referred to as the Air Max Plus or Air Max TN) as seen on the wavy lines on the upper as well as the modified Air unit on the heel. Sneaker News also showed you a sample pair of the Air Max Modular 98 SI in a similar colorway but with a bit more yellow, so even more colorways could be on the way. The Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI will hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info. via Complex.
