There have been a number of workboot and trail-inspired kicks of late; ruggedized versions of our favorites with just a pinch of outdoorsmanship tossed into the mix. Such is the case with these new Nike Toki NDs, two pairs we previewed here on Sneaker News back in June. Since the initial photos of these suede Tokis released, they’ve seen a couple of notable changes. First off, the traditional flat laces have been replaced by corded trail laces, which makes for a subtly rugged feel. And it’s somewhat more refined than the aforementioned trail-inspired looks, with the released version of this Toki eschewing the sample’s hook eyelet in favor of the more traditional metal rivet.
