Nike Air Max 1 ‘Wallabee’ – Sail – Gum – New Images

When you think ‘crepe sole’, chances are you picture a pair of Clarks Originals Wallabees.  A streetwear legend for what seems like centuries now, the Wallabee has spawned countless imitators.  But for the first time in a good while, Wallabees are overshadowed by the higher-cut chukka stylings of Clarks’ Desert Boot.  But aside from classic good looks, the Wallabee and Desert Boot both have a squishy crepe sole, as does this new Nike Air Max 1 ‘Wallabee’ they’ve clearly influenced.  These joints go for a classy look befitting their muse, with a white/grey upper comprised of subtle materials like lightly tumbled suede and neatly trimmed pony hair.  Click the jump below for more shots and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via SF
