Vans’ signature waffle sole is an oft-copied staple in the skateboarding sneaker market. It’s been around for ages and provides superior boardfeel, and perhaps with the new Nike SB Dunk sole in mind, Off the Wall is offering an updated outsole/insole combo with serious skaters in mind. Part of the CORE series geared toward everyday kick-pushers, the Vans Sk8-Hi Pro pictured above features black contrasts with a vivid Hawaiian print a tiny reminder of warm weather. But the real story here is the Duracap’d vulcanized sole along with new and improved insoles so you can rip it up however feels best.
