Andrew Rizzo Nike gave the Vomero 5 year-round appeal by debuting a new rugged spinoff called the Vomero 5 Roam a few years back, a tougher take on the model featuring ACG-leaning design cues and Hagr Rubber for improved traction. If you’re after a slightly less exaggerated but still more durable option, might we suggest this newly-released “Blue Void” option.
The base is the main point of discussion, opting for a closed mesh with chain-like TPU detailing as opposed to the more open material Nike usually uses on the model. The overlays are done in Midnight Navy synthetic leather with Metallic Silver detailing, while Light Orewood Brown dresses the Zoom Air and Cushlon-equipped midsole.
