The Nike Hyperdunk has always been tied to Kobe Bryant (a few call it Kobe’s unofficial sig), and some may have ‘poked fun’ at the Hyperdunk 2010 as being a high-top version of the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Great minds do think alike, because both were designed by two different people (Eric Avar for the Kobe V, Leo Chang for the Hyperdunk 2010). Fortunately, the upcoming Hyperdunk 2011 breaks away from the Kobe-stigma with an all-new design, although it does share some similar design elements from his Nike Basketball brother. A visible carbon fiber midfoot-plate with a visibile Flywire upper panel and an all-new heel-counter give the Hyperdunk 2011 an even sleeker sports-car look (and performance, too). You can expect these five colorways to drop in the coming months, so let us know what you think of the design. Better than the 2010? via nkestyl.
