One of the most memorable moments in Nike SB Dunk was the creation and eventual cancellation of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Freddy Krueger’ which was inspired by the Nightmare on Elm Street horror series. Although a few pairs made their way out to the public, the mystique of the Freddy Krueger SB Dunk lives on, much like the murderous character it was inspired by. Another big-time horror hit of decades ago was one of the ‘Good Guys’, an inanimate playdoll that takes a turn for the worse when it becomes alive and goes on a homicidal streak. ‘Chucky’ is the inspiration behind this latest custom pair of sneakers by Diversitile, who has done some outstanding work with the Nike Dunk High and Nike Blazer. Featuring Chucky’s signature overalls and striped t-shirt with his stitched-up scalp on the toe-box, this Dunk High custom features astounding craftsmanship and conceptual realization – which we should now expect from Diversitile and his pieces. Check out the extra shots below and let us know what you think.
