Air Jordan VIII OG Sample – Alternate Jumpman Logo

Air Jordan VIII OG Sample – Alternate Jumpman Logo

Air Jordan Viii Og Sample

Imagine the Air Jordan VIII, or maybe you’re more familiar with the recent Air Jordan Force Fusion 8 releases.  Either way, if asked to pick out the shoe’s defining feature, it’d have to be the Air Raid-like criss-crossing straps, right?  The AJ8 has distinctive graphics on its heel counter and outsole too and right up there with those distinguishing elements is a chenille tongue logo that looks something like MJ dunking for world peace.  Well apparently that wasn’t always the direction Nike was headed and this ancient Air Jordan VIII OG Sample includes what could have been another iconic symbol in the legacy of Air Jordans. These AJVIIIs have an embroidered tongue tag whereupon a yellow Jumpman soars over a hoop/net combo reminiscent of the aforementioned heel graphics.  Could have been an interesting result but like so many other samples we’ve seen over the years it looks like Nike really nailed this decision.  Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to the released Air Jordan 8s and stick with Sneaker News for more looks into the rare and obscure.  via FLUL
