Recorded as one of the largest quakes in magnitude in Earth’s history, the earthquake set off a relentless chain of natural events which destroyed many of Northern Japan’s coastal towns. Many Japanese natives are still missing and with aftershocks, potential radioactive conditions, and upcoming inclement weather, the recovery efforts will be long and hard.
