At some point, Knick fans will need to stop pinching themselves. Yes, Brooklyn-born Carmelo Anthony is indeed a New York Knickerbocker. The half-season-long ‘Melo-drama’ that finally unraveled itself on February 21st meant the home-town hero would return and represent his city’s basketball team, a team that Melo had a strong desire to play for. This new Jordan Brand billboard, sitting atop Footaction on Southwestern corner of 34th St. and 7th Ave. verbalizes Carmelo’s homecoming into a short and sweet quote – a thank you to the city that introduced the game to him and created what he is today.
