The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 was one of 2009’s biggest sneaker hits and it landed a enviable spot in th Maxe Sneaker News Top 30 of 2009 list. The Fresh Water colorway that came out first was so popular that it spawned a series of other models done with a similar look, but sneakerhead purists clamored for the 1996 original. And unlike the Seattle Mariners’ fans in the mid ’90s, it’s a case of ‘ask and ye shall receive’ here with the OG ‘Mariner Emerald’ AGM about to hit retail this summer.
