Sneaker News continues its previews of upcoming Nike releases with the Nike Air Huarache Basketball 2012 – a hybrid product featuring the upper of the Nike Air Flight Huarache Basketball from the 1990’s Nike Basketball catalog and a Flex-grooved basketball specific outsole with multi-directional flexion. The Huarache style of construction is most recognizable due to the open-air window around the ankle, with a purpose of reducing weight – in other words, the way to lighten a pair of shoes is to completely remove a material (take that, Crazy Light). In this case, it receives further weight reduction thanks to the lightweight outsole. Seven colorways are confirmed for the Spring 2012 season, and we’ve got a look at the whole bunch after the jump, so take a look and let us know what you think of this hybrid design. via CK.
