You might see this model and wonder, “Didn’t we already see a green superhero take part in a New Balance collaborative release?” The answer is, of course, yes, but don’t mistake this Green Lantern x New Balance 993 for the PHANTACi joints created in commemoration for Jay Chou’s turn as Cato in Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet. Rather, this model celebrates Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming summer blockbuster, its all black suede and mesh construction apparently originally intended as a friends & family exclusive for cast and crew. However, if you like the concept and execution seen more extensively after the jump, it seems like some pairs have leaked out to Japanese retailer Icefield and a few are floating around on eBay.
