Eight years ago, another first-overall pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers signed with Nike. His name was LeBron James. Although Kyrie Irving’s career might not follow the path of mega-stardom like LeBron’s did, Irving’s certainly got the potential to be one of the greats thanks to Coach K’s tutelage, and of course, added marketing exposure as the newest Nike Basketball athlete. Will Irving get his own signature shoe? While the terms of his deal with the Swoosh haven’t been disclosed just yet, you can, at the very least, expect some Nike Basketball PEs.
