2011 has seen more sneaker-related events in the first six-plus months than in previous years, the rest of the calendar showing that this will be the most densely-packed year for kicks fiends in history. Among the growing list of expanding meetups is Sneaker Con, the New York born gathering that has traveled all up and down the I-95 corridor in ’11 and will return to the nation’s capitol on August 6th AND 7th. That’s right DMV sneakerheads, this time around is not only the second DC Sneaker Con in 2011, but also the first back-to-back event after the Miami stop on July 30th, plus the first to stretch across two days, taking over the Atlas Performing Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday, August 6th and 7th. Sneaker Con partners like adidas Originals, DTLR and Chivalrous Culture are sure to have more in store and you gotta figure they’ll look to top previous events, as should you.
